"Senior Bridge Engineer - Halcrow In"
 
   Halcrow is working to build its staff capability in bridge design, specifically in response to the upcoming opportunities within North America. In order to pursue and deliver projects, we are seeking to hire an experienced bridge design engineer.

This Bridge Engineer will be responsible for performing Bridge Design work, but does not have financial / budgetary responsibility for the project. Moderate to high-level exercise of judgment is required on details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

Key Areas Of Responsibility
• Responsible for working with bridge staff to develop contract drawings according to client specifications and internal QA/QC policy.
• Responsible for technically guiding drafters / designers and less experienced engineers.

Key Requirements
• Must have experience in the design of highway bridges using AASHTO Standard and LRFD Design Specifications.
• Must have experience using complex structural analysis software, such as SAP 2000, LARSA, or STADD Pro.

Minimum Qualifications
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with major concrete bridges.
• Masters degree with structural engineering emphasis is required.
• Must have a PE license and the ability to obtain reciprocity in VA and FL is a plus.
• VDOT and FDOT experience is a plus.
• Business development experience is a plus but not mandatory.
