Thornton Transitional Reservoir, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Chicago, Illinois: senior Structural Engineer and coordinator of A/E group disciplines for conceptual and final design of 6700 cuffs gated intake structure, 40 feet deep tapered cut-and-cover conveyance tunnel, a 230 foot deep by 24 foot diameter drop shaft, the largest drill-and-blast boot (deaeration) chamber in the TARP system with a 12 ksi high strength concrete base slab and 10 feet diameter air shaft, 8000 linear feet of 22 feet diameter deep bored diversion tunnel with a portal structure and ramp in the west lobe of the Thornton Quarry, concrete plug in existing haul tunnel between the quarry lobes, 2600 linear feet of 8 foot diameter bored drain tunnel, a 280 foot deep mined gate house, and modifications to an existing Construction Shaft for controlled discharge into the Indiana Avenue TARP Tunnel for this $51.5 million CSO flood control project. The diversion structure, and mined deaeration chamber and boot are the largest designed to date in the TARP system. Chicago Skyway Rehabilitation, City of Chicago, Illinois: Assisted and performed design of superstructure shoring towers for pier cap replacement.
U.S. 131 Michigan Department of Transportation, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Project structural Engineer responsible for the design of various superstructure elements including splices and cross frames. The superstructure consisted of continuous curved plate girders. Design, detail and prepare plans for the rehabilitation of ramp A, B,C and D to Wealthy street including replacement of existing steel connection and expansion joints.
DLZ. South bend, IN : 1998-1999
Southwest Indiana Highway, Indiana Department of Transportation, Indianapolis, Indiana. Project structural Engineer for the development of various design concepts and cost analysis (SST PLANS) for five bridges (mud creek, CR750N, CR475N, sr356 and 650N) along southwest Indiana highway project no. NH-002-2 in pike county Indiana. Grade review plans was prepared for the five bridges. The various superstructure design options involved investigating prestressed 72 bulb Tee, prestressed I beams , plate girders and rolled beams . Mdx program was used to design the steel plate girders and rolled beams.
East-West Toll road Highway Authority ( I-80/90 over SR-1 & County Road 100) , Indiana Toll Road Authority, Indianapolis, Indiana. Project structural Engineer for the development of SST, preliminary and final design of grade review and final plans of superstructure and substructure elements. The superstructure consisted of prestressed concrete I beams with 8 slab. Leap software was used in the design the prestressed beams.

I-55 Stevenson Expressway Reconstruction (TS&L Preliminary and Final Design), Illinois Department of Transportation - District 1, Chicago, Illinois. Project Engineer responsible for the TS&L preliminary and final design and analysis of various steel superstructure and substructure elements for the section from California Ave. to damen Ave including the portion over Archer Ave. It took three years develop the final design plans and specification for the eastbound and westbound structure. Dcalc program was used in the design of the substructure and superstructure. The project also involved designing Retaining walls & drainage structure. Foundation included piling, spread footing and caissons. Removal and construction was performed in stages to accommodate the maintenance of traffic.

I-294 Tri State widening & Rehabilitation (Preliminary & Final Design Contract CIP 663), for the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, Oakbrook Illinois. Project Engineer responsible for the design of various superstructure and substructure elements and also for the design and analysis of reinforced concrete caissons, columns and pier caps to support the new superstructure. The project extend from Roosevelt Rd. to ST. Charles Rd included eleven bridges and retaining wall on spread footings, caissons and piles. Superstructure design including steel and prestressed girders. Reviewed shop drawings for MSE WALLS. This project won an ISPE Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award.
