"Quadratics and Suspension Bridges"
 
   I am teaching a course on quadratics and their applications this summer to a group of talented 8th graders. We were hoping to do a project where the students were going to derive the equation of various suspension bridge spans but I am having difficulty finding photographs (perpendicular to the bridge) or drawings from the same angle. Any idea or suggestions on working bridges into our curriculum would be much appreciated.
