"developing software for psc box girder deck"
 
   hello..i m currently doing my project work for Mtech in computer aided strctural engineering. my topic is software development for analysis and design of psc box girder bridge deck(only),using vc++. i was wondering wether anybody can help me with this in any way. what i m looking for is a software to convert he FOTRAN CODE to vc++. also tell me the different cross section of the box used world wide.

   Conversion of Fortran to C++ is never simple. You can try f2C, but in my experience, it generates pretty ugly, and potentially buggy, code. If you have less than a few thousand lines of code, you are better off converting manually, IMHO. A free version of f2c is at http://www.math.utah.edu/software/f2c.html

I'm assuming that you are wanting precast, pre-tensioned boxes? I don't know about the world, but you can find TxDOT's box shapes here:
